● Dilatometer tests provide the deforma- tion and elastic moduli of bedrock and unconsolidated rock in the borehole under in-situ conditions. The rock pro- perties which are determined from dilatometer tests are important parame- ters for the planning and dimensioning of tunnels, caverns and other under- ground structures.
