The measurement of displacement vectors along measuring lines (boreholes) provides information on the deformation behaviour of the rock and soil in the region of the monitored ground surface or of the structure as well as on the ground-structure interaction. With the Sliding Micrometer displacement and deformation profiles along arbitrary-directed measuring lines in soil, rock and structures are measured precisely metre by metre. The accuracy of measurement in the vertical direction is ΔZ +/-0.03 mm/m and the range of measurement is +/-50 mm/m.
